Generate chapters and show notes for your episode
Quick answer: the Podcast Show Notes Generator is designed to produce chapters with timestamps, a short summary, key takeaways, guest information and a starting point for links mentioned in the episode. Generation is a preview today; the Transcript and Subtitles modes below, sharing this same page, are live and work now.

or click to choose a file - up to 500 MB
MP3 · WAV · M4A · FLAC · OGG · OPUS · MP4 · MOV · MKV · WEBM
Paste a direct link to an audio or video file, or a page a supported downloader can read.
Not every site is supported - private, paywalled or DRM-protected episodes can never be imported this way. If a link fails, download the episode yourself and use Upload File instead.
RSS import is planned so a whole show's feed can be browsed by episode, but it is not built yet. Use Upload File to try Transcript today.
You can keep this tab open and carry on - longer episodes take a few minutes. Refreshing the page reconnects to this job.
Upload an episode above to see its transcript here.

Silence Remover is a preview

What show notes will include
Five parts, all generated from the same transcript.
Chapters
Named sections with timestamps, click-to-seek once wired to the player.
Episode summary
A short paragraph describing what the episode covers.
Key takeaways
A short bulleted list of the episode's main points.
Guest information
A starting draft of who was on the episode and their background, as mentioned.
Referenced links
A starting point for links, books, tools or people mentioned - not automatic discovery.
Show notes are not a transcript or a summary
A transcript is the full spoken text. A summary condenses what was said into a few paragraphs. Show notes are a different, third thing - a scannable index built for someone deciding whether to listen, or looking for a specific moment again: chapter titles with timestamps, a short description, who was on the episode, and any links or references mentioned. They work alongside a transcript and a summary, not instead of either.
Links, names and timestamps need a check
Chapter timestamps can drift by a few seconds from where a topic actually starts. Guest names and titles, book or product names mentioned in passing, and any URL referenced verbally are all places automated generation can get something wrong. Automatic link discovery is not something this tool does or will claim to do - review every link, name and timestamp before publishing show notes generated here.
What this tool does
Once live, it will read an episode transcript and draft chapters, a summary, takeaways, guest info and a starting point for links.
Accepted input
An uploaded audio or video file up to 500 MB - generation will run on the transcript produced from it.
Expected output
An editable show-notes draft, meant to be checked and adjusted before publishing, not used as-is.
Common use cases
Podcasters
A publish-ready starting draft for every new episode's show notes.
Podcast hosting platforms
Chapter markers listeners can jump between.
Guests
A quick reference for their own bio and the topics they covered.
Listeners
A scannable index to decide what to listen to, or find a moment again.
Limitations
- Not available to run yet - this page shows the intended structure only.
- No automatic link discovery - references are a starting point, not a guarantee.
- Chapter timestamps and guest details need a quick check before publishing.
Privacy and retention
- Files uploaded for Transcript or Subtitles today are held only long enough to transcribe them, then removed by routine cleanup.
- Nothing is uploaded for show notes generation specifically, since that mode does not yet exist.
- Only process content you own or have permission to use.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Podcast Show Notes Generator available to use right now?
Not yet. Show notes generation is shown as a preview; selecting Show Notes will not process your file. Transcript and Subtitles, on the same page, are live today.
What are show notes, exactly?
A short written companion to an episode: chapter markers with timestamps, a brief summary, guest details, and any links mentioned - meant to be published alongside the episode, not read instead of it.
How is this different from a transcript or a summary?
A transcript is the full spoken text. A summary condenses what was said into a few paragraphs. Show notes are neither - they are a scannable index (chapters, timestamps, links, guest info) meant to help someone decide what to listen to or find a moment again, not to replace listening or reading a summary.
Will it automatically find links mentioned in the episode?
No, and it will not claim to. The plan is to give a starting point for links and references based on what is said, but automatic link discovery is not something this tool does - any link, name or timestamp will need a quick check before publishing.
Can I edit the generated show notes?
That is the plan - the output is meant to be a starting draft you edit, not a final, publish-ready page.
Does show notes generation work on my file today?
No. Only Transcript and Subtitles are connected to a working backend. Upload a file to get a timestamped transcript now; show notes generation will use that same transcript once it ships.
