Link in Bio Page Widget
Build a link-in-bio page on your own domain instead of a third-party service: avatar, name, a short bio, a stack of link buttons with optional subtitles and one highlighted Featured link, and a row of social badges. Embed it on a /links page and point your Instagram or TikTok bio there.

Embed code
<iframe src="https://a2z.tools/embed/w/link-in-bio-page" title="Link in Bio Page by A2Z Tools" width="100%" height="750" style="border:0;width:100%" loading="lazy" allow="clipboard-write"></iframe>
A plain iframe. Works everywhere, including site builders that strip scripts. Adjust height if your content needs more room.
<div data-a2z-widget="link-in-bio-page" data-height="750"></div> <script async src="https://a2z.tools/embed.js"></script>
Adds a small script (what it does) that sizes the widget to fit its content, loads it lazily and keeps it isolated from your page's CSS.
Works with
How it works
Links are written one per line as Title | URL | optional subtitle | featured. Writing featured (or *, yes or 1) in the fourth column, or starting the title with an asterisk and a space, highlights that link with the accent colour and a Featured badge. URLs may be https or http (a bare domain gains https://), tel: or mailto:; web links open in a new tab with rel=noopener. Lines with no title or an unsafe address are skipped, and the page holds 20 links at most - long enough for a menu, short enough to scan. The avatar must be an https image and falls back to an initials monogram if it is missing or broken. Social profiles use the same host-name rules as the Social Links widget, up to eight. Three looks: soft (light tiles), bold (solid ink-coloured buttons) and outline (transparent pills with a strong border); all follow the light, dark or automatic theme. The column is centred and capped at 460 px, so it looks like a phone page even in a wide frame.
Method
- Link line = Title | URL | subtitle | featured; featured when column 4 is featured/*/yes/1 or the title starts with "* "
- At most 20 links and 8 social profiles; a link is shown only if its URL passes the https/http/tel/mailto allow-list
Worked examples
Featured with a prefix
Inputs: * Shop | shop.example
Result: Featured link 'Shop' to https://shop.example/
The leading asterisk is removed from the title and marks the link as featured; the bare domain gains https://.
Unsafe and incomplete lines
Inputs: Bad | javascript:alert(1); | https://x.example; No url |
Result: All three lines skipped
A javascript: address fails the allow-list, and a link needs both a title and a URL.
Limitations
- No click counts or analytics inside the widget; add UTM tags to your links (the A2Z UTM Builder helps) and read them in your own analytics.
- No scheduled or expiring links - edit the list in the builder and update the embed code when it changes.
- The avatar and links are fixed at embed time; there is no in-page editor for visitors or staff.
Where publishers use it
- A cafe, florist or bakery replacing a third-party bio-link service with a page on its own domain
- Musicians and podcasters linking new releases, tour dates and merch from one Instagram bio link
- Coaches and consultants pointing a TikTok bio to booking, free guide and testimonials links
- Event organisers collecting tickets, schedule, venue map and FAQ links for a printed QR code
- Nonprofits listing donate, volunteer and newsletter links for social campaigns
Questions
How do I turn it into a full page at mysite.com/links?
Create an empty page on your site builder (Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, Shopify or plain HTML), hide the header and footer if the builder allows, and paste the iframe at full width with the loader script so its height follows the content - about 750 px for the default five links. Then put that page's address in your social bios.
Why host it on my own site instead of a bio-link service?
The address is yours, so a link printed on flyers keeps working if you change tools; visitors land on your domain, where your own analytics and cookie banner already apply; and there is no separate account to secure. The trade-off is that the widget itself has no click statistics.
How many links should I add?
The widget accepts 20, but bio pages work best with five to eight. Put the one action you care about most first and mark it featured; subtitles such as Ready in 10 minutes help people choose without opening every link.
What image works best as the avatar?
A square https image of at least 192 x 192 px (it displays at 92 px, so 2x keeps it sharp on phones), cropped so the face or logo sits in the centre, because the frame is a circle. If the image cannot load, the initials of the name are shown instead.
Is it accessible?
The name is a heading, each link is a real link with its title as the accessible name and a note when it opens a new tab, the featured badge is text rather than colour alone, focus rings are visible, link buttons are at least 56 px tall and social badges 44 px.
