What is the difference between a CV and a resume?
In the UK, Europe and India "CV" usually means the document you send with a job application; in the US and Canada that is called a resume, and a CV is a longer academic record. This tool works for both - keep it to one or two pages for most jobs.
Which template should I choose?
For online application portals, Minimal ATS is the safest. Modern, Classic, Elegant and Bold are good when you send your CV directly to a person or bring it to an interview.
Should I add a photo or my date of birth?
It depends on the country. Many employers in the UK, US and Canada prefer CVs without them, while they are common in parts of Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Both are optional and off by default.
My CV is in Hindi, Arabic or another non-Latin script. Will the PDF work?
The built-in PDF engine cannot join those letters correctly, so the tool offers Print instead - choose "Save as PDF" in the print dialog for an accurate copy.
